The Cenotes of Yucatan Peninsula

Diving in the cenotes....fresh water, salt water, a mixture.... in the dark....awesome!!! We started in El Eden cenote for the certification. It's an easy cavern to learn on.....open and plenty of light.....always got to remember "okay the line"

The next stop was Chac Mool cenote. It was very dark and you came up in an underground room with no light. Thank goodness the air was good.

Coming out, the instructor turned my light off, then pulled my mask off, and made me swim for about 10 minutes in total darkness. At least I passed!!

I ended the trip by doing my first dive with one of my sons who just got his Open Water Certification. It was the wreck at Cancun in about 80 feet of water. I was a little light on weight.....I had been diving fresh water cenotes all week...and I had to pick up stones off the bottom to stay down......
